OpenAI has launched its much anticipated AI video generation model to make unique videos with just a prompt.

The following video was created using OpenAI Sora by Kaku Drop. This video consists of three unique keyword based prompts - "Japan", "Women", and "Dynamism".

OpenAI Sora has some unique features that are being advertised to the public as of December, 2024.

Remix by Sora

Sora will allow its users to upload their own videos and re-imagine or produce similar results based on custom prompts. For example, you can replace normal doors with french doors in your own video. Sora will follow the style, lighting, and movement in your original video and try to produce an accurate result.

Recut is a unique feature that will save several hours of editing and cutting long videos. Sora will detect the best cuts and scenes and stitch them together. You can then select individual cuts and extend them to provide longer scenes all with the help of AI. The video can be extended easily even if the clip ends early.

This feature will allow video editors to focus on the more serious tasks which add value to the video and save several hours of repetitive tasks, However, we don't expect perfect edits or cuts since the final edits depend on the creative person/team behind the video. This would be great to cut out pauses, errors, bad takes, stammers etc.

Loop with Sora

Sometimes we need to extend videos or create a perfect loop for social media like Instagram Reels, Youtube Shorts, etc. The Loop feature seamlessly cuts out clips and create never-ending loops.

These can be cool for creative tasks, B-roll videos and small scenes for reference.

Blend is a unique stylistic features which lets you easily cut between two similar scenes with a beautiful seamless cut. For example, flower petals falling from the sky seamlessly convert to snow flakes.

This is an interesting feature that allows you to specify the style in which you want the video or objects in the video to be generated. For example, specifying "metal" as a style would generate metallic objects, or a retro theme for a dance video.
